My sister, Libby German, and I did crafts at Pine Springs for years but I met you when your family lived in Amarillo. Thanks to your friend that set up the website, there are "God-only-knows" how many souls lifting you up in prayer . . . the kind of prayer where we are flat out on the floor pleading God to heal you.
It is evident that you and your family are not going through this ordeal alone. God is working through untold people and events. My prayers have been specifically for the doctors' hands and their training that have prepared them for you.

You do not know me but after visiting your website I know I wish I did..... You are very blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family and people that you don't even kniow praying for you daily. I know your parents are very proud of you and they are so lucky to have such a wonderful son who cares so much about the world and the people around him.... You are an inspiration to many many people and have truly touched my heart. When I received the e-mail about you last week I was very busy at work but something about it made me stop and read and after reading the message from your father I immediately stopped what I was doing and prayed for you. Rock & Roll" Toothbrushes that start playing whenever you brush your teeth with them. (I have "smashmouth-Hey now your a rock star" & "We are the champions' by Queen.) They are cheap, less than $5, and might allow you to quickly figure out if 'bone listening' will work for you as you wait for God and your body to restore your hearing. After seeing a little piece of heaven through you we can't wait to get there! God is so good and so amazing in the ways He choses to shine. Jerrod, we are simply amazed how even lying in CCU, you are able to spread His word, touch so many lives and give Him the glory! As we know you realize, we are not here on earth for ourselves, but to do His will, to be His. You and your family are honoring Him daily. Brett and I feel so blessed to be able to pray for you and to have our children praying for you. In fact Tate just came downstairs and asked what he could pray for tonight for you, I was able to tell him specifics and I know all 3 of my kids prayed tonight for your hearing, vision, and speech. It is an honor to be able to sit at God's feet for you. We remember you going off to Kindergarten and trying to console your mom for many weeks, somehow she made it as we know she will make it through this valley too. But no matter how old you get, you will always be her baby, right Carla? Anyway, we want you to know God is in control, and His will is the perfect will. You keep praising Him in this storm, and He will keep shining through you in unbelievable ways. We love you all so much and will be at His feet on your behalf.

You do not know me but after visiting your website I know I wish I did..... You are very blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family and people that you don't even kniow praying for you daily. I know your parents are very proud of you and they are so lucky to have such a wonderful son who cares so much about the world and the people around him.... You are an inspiration to many many people and have truly touched my heart. When I received the e-mail about you last week I was very busy at work but something about it made me stop and read and after reading the message from your father I immediately stopped what I was doing and prayed for you. I was not even sure if you had already had the surgery but I knew that God knew and that my prayer would be listened to. I will pray for your continued healing and that you will regain your hearing, vision and speech so that you can continue to spread the wonderful news about what God has done for you and can do for many others.... Jerrod, you don't know me but I am a brother in Christ who received word of your situation from Amy Brown. I am from Charleston, South Carolina. I worship with the Johns Island Church of Christ where I serve as Youth Minister. When Amy alerted us of your illness, our church immediately started praying for you. I just hear that the surgery was a success and you’re getting better. Praise God for his goodness and the many blessings he has showered upon you. I am confident that he will continue to answer our prayers and will soon restore you to your normal walk of life. Stay strong and of good courage for the Lord is with you and he promised never to leave. I pray that you always know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. As I opened your website this morning I was amazed that it has been hit over 42,000 times. What a blessing to have so many that are eager to hear, to pray, to share tears of joy with over such an amazing son. And, what a marvelous witness of Christ's love through your family that has reached out and touched thousands in the family of God and even a greater witness to those who may now know Jesus as their personal savior as they read of the concern and compassion shown by His children for one of their own. Lives are being changed, spiritual healings are taking place at the same time that your physical healing is being manifested through the miraculous touch of the Father and His wonderful healing talents and God-given wisdom He has bestowed upon the Doctors, nurses and all the staff that surround you. You will never know the far reaching positive effects that God has used through your walk THROUGH this valley. God never wastes a hurt.

My name is Whitney Warren. I am 24 and I am finishing up my graduate work in Medical Physics in Houston.When I was 15 I underwent surgery for a brain tumor in my cerebellum. A couple of weeks later, I had a shunt put in.God's love was completely overwhelming to me; the tumor was first diagnosed as cancerous. A FOURTH opinion showed it to be benign. It was so evidently clear that it was a miracle only from God. Then when I was 20 I had another surgery, that wasn't life-threatening this time, to remove the remaining tumor the first surgeon didn't remove, fearing paralysis. God totally had his hands on this surgery; the surgeon found a significant amount of tumor on my nerve endings, which couldn't be seen on MRIs.Everyday, I am completely overwhelmed by all he has done, and I am so thankful that I can be His vessel on this earth. It was such a hard road, but with His strength all things are really possible! I pray that my story encourages you and that you let Him speak into your heart, especially in those times when you feel so tired and in pain. You are in my prayers. If there is anything you want to ask I'd be happy to share with you my experiences. God bless you all.

Jerrod, You also don't know me, but I am from Wichita Falls. I got a forward from a friend of a friend. I have a daughter who's 27 now, but when she was a soph. at A&M, she got bacterial endocarditis (infection in her system.)
She had to have heart surgery. She was born with Aortic Stenosis with complicated the situation even more. I know just what your mom & dad are going through. I was impressed by our Lord to send a message of "peace" to your father. God just drew me to your situation. I have been there as a parent and know that at THAT time is when I was absolutely the closest to God. He carried me and our family as He is carrying you and yours. You are so blessed with so many friends and I know God is using you to be a blessing to them.
I just wanted you to know that I pray for you on and off at work, think about your pain and frustrations. You know it's OK to be frustrated. We are weak but He is strong. We are irritated but He is patient with our impatience!
Praise God for His healing Grace.

I just felt the presence of God's love for you in those words and his love for your Dad and other belliever's like myself. I said a prayer for you. May God bless you and keep you. My wife and I are simply two more people you don't know yet who really admire your dad, and have a strong love & affection for you attached to all our prayers for you.
I'm especially praying about your hearing. I love music so much (still-after five decades I stay up to date.)
Word of Encouragement-
When I lost some hearing do to nerve damage as a child and it lasted at least twenty years--but in the end the nerve tissue returned to normal. (Evoked Potential Test to prove it.) (This confused some doctors-but humility is good for them.)
When nerve damage left me with double vision the doctor said it might take 3 to 4 months to go away. When he said it that seemed really long. (For me it seemed only fair & right,that if getting double vision only took 2 days--so it ought to go away that fast.)
Three months later the nerves found a new path and the double vision went back to glorious "basic nearsightedness).
Ask about this-I know some folks use it. Try attaching the sound cords to your music, not to typical speakers, but to something like a 'tuning fork'. Then press your heavy solid metal sound blaster to either of the small hard bones that stick out a little behind your ear. (You might try using your elbow-or even your teeth.) It might help-although it may sound strange at first--but for some types of hearing loss it really works. To save time, get someone to buy you one of those "2 Min. Rock & Roll" Toothbrushes that start playing whenever you brush your teeth with them. (I have "smashmouth-Hey now your a rock star" & "We are the champions' by Queen.) They are cheap, less than $5, and might allow you to quickly figure out if 'bone listening' will work for you as you wait for God and your body to restore your hearing.

I am another person, a mother, that you do not know but I use to live in the area and still check the Lubbock online newspaper dailey. I came across the article about you on 12/15/07 and I just got cold chills as I read. I of course, went to your website that was listed and read each and every article and looked at each and every picture, as I was looking, I was saying a prayer for you. I am a mother, and can only imagine what your family is going thru, personally, I would take your pain as well as your family's if that were possible. I am 44 years old and just recently had to have an emergency triple bypass, I know that prayers and thoughts are what pulled me thru and made me strong enough to overcome the trying times I have had. I am still going thru lots of pain as well as trouble related to the surgery and also to back problems. I wish you a speedy recovery and I will continue to keep you and your family in my heart, thoughts and prayers. May God Be With You Always...
